Politics: suck, Olympics rule

The Olympics are here. I am excited, and not because I get to blindly root for America, but rather, because the Olympics bring about a real sense of pride. I’ll forget about our foreign policy, our social and economic shortcomings, and our leaders’ lack of accountability. I will look past our flaws and simply, unequivocally, and happily…cheer.

The Canadian women’s hockey team beat Italy 16-0 today. That must be some sort of record?
